I got a kick this morning to read in the sports section of the San Antonio Express News that I'd been hired by the LA Clippers as training consultant. I better start boning up on my hoop game! Here is the excerpt:
A man in California has trained his pet goldfish, Comet, to play football, basketball and other activities such as limbo dancing under a bar. According to Ananova.com, Dean Pomerleau of Los Angeles used positive reinforcement to teach the 2-year-old fish to do tricks such as “play fetch with a hoop, slalom around a series of poles and push a rugby ball over a set of posts.” Said Pomerleau, “There is mounting evidence that fish are more intelligent than people give them credit for. With the correct tools and the basic promise of a food reward, fish can very quickly learn complex tricks.” In related news, the L.A. Clippers have hired Pomerleau as a training consultant.
I wish these newspapers would get their facts straight. I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - not Los Angeles!
Unfortunately, Pittsburgh doesn't have a professional basketball team, or I'd be out there :-)
