Food Choice for Pet Fish Training

We frequently are asked:

> What is the best type of food to use for pet fish training?

The answer is any that any quality flake or pellet food is suitable. Unless you fish is large, you'll want to use small flakes or pellets. Fish training required lots of repetition, so you want to give small amounts of food as a reward to avoid overfeeding your fish, or making him (or her!) too full.

The food we use to train Comet are Hikari "Cichlid Gold" pellets in the 'baby' size. As you can see, these pellets are tiny, so we can feed Comet 20 or 30 of them in one training session without a problem.
